7. Tighten the bolt properly until it is fully fitted onto the countersunk hole.

Fixing metal to wood

Metal fixtures like gate hinges require long screws to be installed on wooden doors. The following instructions can be useful.

1. Mark the position where the bolt needs to fixed.

2. Bore 2mm pilot holes at each mark.

3. Replace the fixture over the holes and put in the screws. When you are using more than one screw, make sure the fixture is level before tightening each bolt.
